The same product, even when every store names it differently.
Product matching combines EANs, text, attributes and images and reaches 99.5% accuracy.
NetPricer product matching
Product matching first: confirm it is the same product, then look at the price.
When the barcode is there
When the EAN is present and consistent on both pages, that settles the match and the comparison starts from there.
When the code is missing or wrong
Where an industry has a code of its own, MINSAN in pharmacy or the OEM number in car parts, we use it. Where there is none, titles, attributes and photos tell 500 ml from 750, size 42 from 42 and a half, the single unit from the six-pack.
Uncertain pairs stay out
A doubtful match does not enter the charts until it passes a check: a price compared against the wrong product is worth less than no data at all.
Frequently asked questions
What is product matching?
Deciding that the product on a competitor page and the product in your catalog are the same one. While that stays uncertain, every price comparison built on top of it is worth nothing.
What happens when there is no EAN?
On a large part of the market the page carries no EAN. NetPricer then works on the title, the attributes, the pack size and the photo, and an AI model confirms the pair. Reported accuracy across both routes is 99.5%.
Can I check the matches myself?
Yes. Every pair is visible with both product pages side by side, and you can confirm or reject it: your decision wins over the model's.
