A comparison only holds if the packs are the same.

Price comparison starts with the pack: NetPricer brings multipacks, formats and sizes back to a common unit, then tells you how far above or below each competitor you sit.

NetPricer price comparison

Where you are above, where you are below, by how much.

Multipacks and formats brought to one unit

A six-pack and a single unit become comparable, and a different size is never mistaken for the same item.

The gap, in money and in percent

For every product you see the lowest price on the market, yours, and the distance between them: that is the number decisions are made on.

One observation, several readings

The buyer looks at the brand, the pricing manager at the single item, management at the category: same data, different view.

Frequently asked questions

Why do you normalize the pack before comparing?

Because a 3 kg bag and three 1 kg bags are the same purchase at two different shelf prices. Compared as they stand, one of the two looks cheap without being cheap. NetPricer brings both back to a price per kilo before saying who costs less.

What about sizes and variants?

A comparison holds for the variant actually on the page. If a competitor has only the extreme sizes left, that is a different offer from yours: we flag it for you instead of averaging it in.

Do you take the full price or the discounted one?

The one a shopper would pay on that page today, promotion included, because that is what they see. The list price stays next to it, so you can tell how deep the discount is and how many days it has been running.
